The Belgo Report Podcast - Episode 4

The latest episode of The Belgo Report podcast is now online!

This episode of The Belgo Report is all about contemporary printmaking. Host Bettina Forget chats with artists Leslie Mutchler and Jason Urban, both in Montreal for a visit from Austin, Texas. Leslie transforms printmaking into an artform which includes sculpture, design, and audience participation, as demonstrated by her exhibition TrendFactory Mtl at Arprim. Her husband Jason is best known for his popular blog Printeresting.org which tracks what’s hot and new in contemporary print art. Bettina also sits down with Caroline Cloutier, the programming director of Arprim, to discuss how their mandate has evolved from promoting traditional printmaking to hosting cutting-edge art shows.

And, as per usual, at the end of the hour Bettina has a few recommendations of exhibitions you should check out in the galleries Belgo building. This month she recommends Chacun montre à chacun at Galerie Trois Points, Y aller par quatre chemins at Galerie Roger Bellemare and Galerie Christian Lambert, and Landings at SBC Gallery of Contemporary Art.

Music by the very talented Maz – visit his BandCamp page to listen to (or, ideally buy) his debut album.
