Virtually Open on Monday: Ambiguïtés at Circa

Ambiguïtés at Circa

Circa have just launched their annual fundraiser exhibition titled Ambiguïtés, featuring the works of 59 artists including Laurent Craste, Karine Giboulo, Gordie Ishizuka, Lisette Lemieux, Yves Louis-Seize, Maclean, and Judith Schwarz. Most works are sculptural, though there are a few prints, drawings and mixed media works included in the show. The quality of the artworks on display is exceptional, everyone brought their A-game in support of Circa. The exhibition’s theme “ambiguity” communicates clearly in this collection, though each artist has their own approach to the concept: Cozic‘s s small sculpture titled SANS ÉQUIVOQUE… tel père tel fils examines gender and sexuality, Simon Gaudreau‘s piece Temps et espace touches on metaphysics, Karine Giboulo‘s work Disney World critiques social injustice, Michel Goulet‘s elegant wall piece Faire surface addresses community, presence and absence.

All works are under $1,500 and can be viewed on this webpage.
