Life-drawing session for kids – Friday, September 26, from 9:30am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:00pm

LADMMI – The Contemporary Dance School – space 211

Visit the dance studios during their open classes. Also, from 9:45am – 11:15am LADMMI invites 10 kids to join them for a technical training session (reservation required). French only.

1:00pm: Jessica Serli’s performance/installation Entre-Deux followed by a discussion with the choreographer
2:00pm: “The Choreographers” (Katie Ward, Thea Patterson, Peter Trosztmer, Audrée Juteau) demonstration and discussion of the project Man & Mouse
1:00pm – 3:00pm – Discussion with the artists of the Factory Project, inspired by Warhol’s “Silver Factory”

In conjunction with the current exhibition “In the Grove it is Darkling”, photographs by Robin Dennis and David Inglesfield. Montrealers are invited to submit their photographs taken during Les Journées de la Culture events to this Flickr group: JdCMontreal2008. Photos from this group will be continuously screened in the gallery over the weekend. French and English.

Regroupement pour la promotion de l’art imprimé (ARPRIM) – space 426

Presentation of about 50 artist’s books, with an emphasis on binding, calligraphy, paper marbling, and restoration. Also, an exhibition of various printing techniques. On Friday, September 26 for school children (reservation required). On Saturday, September 27 open to the general public, from 12:30pm – 5:00pm. French only.

Meet artist François Morelli, recipient of the Prix Louis-Comtois 2007. At 2:30pm Morelli will give a guided tour of his exhibition, punctuated by performances. French and English.
